This is to inform you that next week, from Monday 2nd – Saturday 7th May 2011 we will be conducting our annual staff trip, and we will be operating with limited staffing.
The purpose of the trip is, in addition to being a social activity and reward for all the hard work throughout the year, to introduce our staff to various tourism destinations in Cambodia (other than Siem Reap) and to educate our staff in what it is like to be a tourist in Cambodia.
During our trip we will experience to stay in hotels, eat in restaurants, participate in tourist activities and experience what it is like to be a tourist. We will look at what other places offer, and check out places/activities we can recommend to our guests in the future. Upon return to Siem Reap we will evaluate the trip and hopefully gain a better understanding of the dynamics of tourism in Cambodia.
As all our staff are equally important to us, we believe it is very important that ALL our staff are able to participate on the trip, including our trainees. To be able to manage this with this we have divided into two groups, where the first half of our staff will be gone from 2-4th May, and the other half of the staff will be gone from 5-7th May.
Should there be any delays in the service during these days we apologize sincerely for any inconvenience, and hope you have understanding for the importance of this staff training trip.
We believe that by doing this, we will be more updated on the current situation, which will enable us to offer better and more accurate travel information; and hopefully we will be able to offer our guests even better service in the future.
The weekly events will still be on, and we will run the Wednesday $1 night as usual, but with half the staff only!
This is out fourth staff trip; the first one went to Sihanoukville (2008), the second one went to Kampot and Kep (2009) and third trip went to Battambang (2010) and this year’s trip will go to Phnom Penh and Kampong Cham.
Thank you for your understanding!
Best Regards from the Soria Moria Team
