A big thanks to ChildSafe International!!

The ChildSafe Network is building a protective environment for children, especially street children, to safeguard them from dangers. The local and international community – especially businesses, families and key community leaders, as well as travelers – are involved. They train key people to keep their eyes wide open, recognize situations where children might be at risk and to know how to respond.

The ChildSafe Network further builds referral systems that involve organizations who have unique services for children. All referral organizations have a key emphasis on reintegrating children into society.

Soria Moria has been a ChildSafe partner since 2008, just after the opening. This week the ChildSafe team came to Soria Moria to provide our staff with a refreshment course, to keep us up to  date with the current situation, and give additional information on how to protect the children.

The ChildSafe team also provided a two day training course for our new staff members. They made the course very interesting, and after the compulsory end of course exam, they arranged a very nice Certification Ceremony for the staff.

We are proud to be a part of the ChildSafe network. We think it is a great initiative and appreciate the great work they do.

ChildSafe invites small and large national- as well as international businesses to join the ChildSafe protection network. All businesses have in common that they are facilitators – they can make the access to child abuse easy or they can help to prevent it. They are looking for business to become ChildSafe members: they are selected, trained to protect children directly, tested, certified, promoted and monitored. And they are looking for more businesses to become ChildSafe partners who support and promote the campaign in different ways.
