The 4 first participants, Josefine, Malin, Maridet and Chandy, are now back in their respective home countries where they will spend the next month sharing all their new experiences with their colleagues.
Throughout the year they have worked across all the different departments of the hotel, seen development projects and volunteered in NGO’s. They have experienced different tourism destinations, learned about positive and negative impacts and aspects of tourism, the principles of responsible & sustainable tourism, and they have had the pleasure of interacting with travellers from all over the world.
The main objectives of the exchange programe are exchange of industry skills, capacity building, improved cultural awareness and enhanced knowledge of Asian and European cultures, as well as sharing best practices.
At the end of the exchange the participants attended a homecoming seminar in Bangkok, together with FK participants from around the world. The seminar focused on how to share the experiences and new knowledge learnt during the exchange.
The homecoming participants also got to share their experience with the new group of participants on their way out on a new round of the exchange.
